Mapping Rural Career Pathways

Health Workforce Queensland's (HWQ) commitment to helping students strategically plan their rural health careers was demonstrated in a recent online session. Health students had the opportunity to engage with our Health Workforce Solutions (HWS) team, alongside newly graduated allied health professionals, in a candid and informative conversation.

Students learned about the support services HWQ provides to assist new graduates in securing their first roles. Additionally, two recently graduated allied health graduates who are now living and working in rural and remote Queensland shared their firsthand experiences of the support they received as new professionals and how their work in the outback has enriched their lives and careers.

The discussion also covered how health students can access the range of support services offered by HWQ to kickstart their careers in rural health. You can access a recording of this insightful conversation below.
