Health Workforce Queensland undertakes a wide range of workforce and service planning activities including surveys, data analysis, reporting, evaluation, collaborations, and projects with an emphasis on:

• Maintaining an up-to-date database of the primary care workforce in remote, rural and regional Queensland;

• Understanding key demographic data related to the different primary health care professions along with profession specific developments;

• Identifying primary health care workforce and service gaps along with related challenges and the impact this has on health service delivery in remote and rural Queensland;

• Utilising key data sources to inform the development of evidence-based and effective models of service delivery for remote, rural and regional communities.
