Job Title: General Practitioner – Innisfail, Queensland.
Hours: Permanent - Full Time
Practice Information:
Established for about 40 years, this practice has recently relocated to brand new premises. They currently have 8 GPs with one doctor who specialises in skin work. You’ll be supported by full-time nursing support and a wonderful administration team. The practice is open Monday to Friday, 8am – 5:30pm and Saturday mornings. They cater to a wide variety of patients which stem from an agricultural and farming community. There is also a high number of ATSI within the community. The practice is Mixed Billing.
Position Details:
The role will include broad primary health care in a rural setting. Paediatric, youth, adult and aged care health, immunisation, general medicine, shared ante and postnatal care, travel and tourist medicine, employment medicals, mental health, minor injuries, chronic pain, preventive health checks, extended primary care, indigenous healthcare and chronic disease management. The practice offers primary care in a large and well-equipped practice.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery
Current AHPRA Registration
Minimum of 3 years medical work experience
Current working rights in Australia

Innisfail is situated at the junction of the beautiful North and South Johnstone Rivers, about 5km from the coast and 90km from Cairns along the Bruce Highway, making it easily accessible by car, bus or train.
