Locations:

• Cardwell- Cardwell lies in the heart of the Great Green Way driving route and is the gateway to Hinchinbrook Island - the largest Island National Park in Australia. Made up of a diverse range of landscapes, Cardwell is the perfect place to relax or be adventurous. Cardwell offers a range of attractions, site seeing, annual events and historical places to visit. This location also offers a wide range of accommodation. Cardwell's Port Hinchinbrook provides a Marina, public boat ramp and repairs and maintenance facilities for anglers and boaties. It is widely acknowledged that Cardwell is ranked second to none when it comes to all-weather and all-tide boating and fishing in the north.

• Proserpine - Proserpine, a rural town 100 km north of Mackay, is a short way inland from Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. Although it has many modern facilities (including a hospital, schools, library, and sporting facilities), the town's Main Street is a reminder of how life used to be – particularly the 'art deco' period evident in the shop architecture which has been well preserved. Old-fashioned courtesies still survive in Proserpine, particularly at many of the charming retail outlets and country-style hotels.

• Mount Isa: Located in the rugged Outback, Mount Isa is a mining town with a rich history and a strong sense of community. The town is surrounded by stunning landscapes, including gorges and rivers, and offers a range of outdoor activities, from hiking to fishing.

• Toowoomba Region and Esk, Marburg, Toogoolawah and Murgon: Located on the edge of the Great Dividing Range, Toowoomba is known for its stunning gardens, parks, and natural attractions. The town is also home to a thriving arts and culture scene, with regular festivals and events.

• Kingaroy:  serves a wide local area with the main industries being farming and mining. The town is 220km from Brisbane CBD and 150km from Toowoomba. Lots of local activities with wineries and many other facilities. Kingaroy is the main shopping town for the South Burnett district. There are 2 private schools and a public school +/15000 people in town. Swickers is the biggest pork factory in the southern hemisphere.

• Gladstone: The region lies on the east coast of Queensland, Australia and is a family orientated environment. Located 600km north of Brisbane and 100km south of Rockhampton situated near the Tropic of Capricorn. You can expect a tropical environment with hot summers and mild winters. Gladstone has a public Marina and surrounding parklands which is great for families.

• Gin Gin: Lovely country town 30 minutes from the city of Bundaberg and four ½ hour's drive from Brisbane. In Gin Gin you can enjoy the serenity of country living while still having the necessary facilities available such as a hospital, chemist, pathology lab, schools, shops, pubs, restaurants and weekly markets with fresh produce, arts and crafts.  The area provides opportunities for hiking, boating, fishing, camping and only a short drive to beautiful beaches in Bundaberg and Bargara.

• Roma:  From rigs, rumps and races to cattle, coolibahs and Carnarvon Gorge–Roma serves up one helluva taste-test of outback life. And you’ll find it just six hours from Brisbane, just west of the Great Dividing Range. If you find yourself 480km west of the big smoke (Brisbane). Throughout the region there is truly spectacular ancient landscapes and unique flora and fauna. There are eight established tourist drives, perfect for the 4WD enthusiast looking to get off the beaten track, plus fully guided eco tours available.  An array of well-established walking to Roma is the largest town in the Maranoa Region and offers an array of city-like conveniences with friendly country hospitality.  There is an abundance of cafes ideally located throughout town and dining options include fine dining restaurants, niche cafes, contemporary pubs with and alfresco dining, plus all your traditional take-away options. Hotels, pubs, and churches feature prominently near the centre of town.
