Practice Information The clinic specializes in Skin Cancer checks only. We have two doctors working full time , Monday to Friday. The sunny Mareeba, Tablelands and surrounding areas provide us with number of patients which we can't keep up with. Our books are full over 6 months ahead. One of the reasons is also that we are one of the few clinics in the area that bilk bills. Our rooms are in Mareeba Post Office Centre, we share the clinic with Rural Medical Imaging.
Town Information A multi-cultural district rich in wildlife, museums, coffee and wine, with clear blue skies perfect for flying, Mareeba has a history going back to the gold mining days, and a strong sense of community spirit which sees support for traditional outback sports such as the famous annual Mareeba Rodeo.
Over 70% of Australia’s coffee crop is grown here and you can taste and buy at a number of local coffee roasters and coffee plantations. At the Coffee Works at Mareeba, follow the story of coffee from plant to cup and visit Coffee World, an antiquities museum housing a world class collection of coffee and tea memorabilia. Visit Australia’s oldest coffee plantation at Skybury, and enjoy a cup of their trademark coffee while taking in the unforgettable view from their cafe – Skybury Farmgate. For something a little different, why not sip specially created house blends at Jaques Australian Coffee Plantation, an established estate where you can also take a plantation tour (or even a scenic flight in a microlight!). Fruit wines are another specialty of the Mareeba region. The Golden Pride Winery will introduce you to the delights of mango with their range which includes sparkling wine, port and liqueurs and is widely available throughout the region. At de Brueys Boutique Winery, taste the fabulous fermentations of lychee, mango, jaboticaba, bush cherry, mulberry, passionfruit and star apple.
