Position Description:
As part of a supportive, diverse, and multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide occupational therapy services in collaboration with a range of specialists. You'll get to treat based on clinical need without the barriers that are often present in private practice funding, offering long-term treatment and prevention strategies. Working with a diverse range of clients, you'll set your own schedule and have the chance to see the real difference your work makes as you enable rural communities to live and receive high-quality holistic care. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting participants inclusion in the communities and activities they choose;
Assessing clients' emotional, cognitive, developmental and physical capabilities using clinical observations and standardised assessments;
Planning and directorship of programs through the use of vocational, recreational, social and educational activities on an individual and group basis;
Assessing clients' functional potential in their home, leisure, work and school environments, and recommend environmental adaptations to maximise their performance;
Providing advice to family members, carers, employers and teachers about adapting clients' home, leisure, work and school environments;
Delivering goal-directed early childhoods supports; and
Assisting with community education activities to improve the health of individuals by raising awareness of healthy lifestyles, diseases and disabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be considered you must be registered, or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA and have a passion for providing quality healthcare;
Hold a relevant Occupational Therapy qualification;
Have a current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and
Have the right to live and work in Australia.
