JOB -10003508
Open to new graduates or experienced Occupational Therapists
Position: Occupational Therapist - New Grad or Experienced - Atherton Tablelands, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – Full Time (38 hours per week).
Practice Information:
At this practice, they know that the best therapy happens when therapists feel truly connected to their work. That’s why they encourage their team members to lean into their strengths, interests, and passions within the OT profession—whether that’s sensory integration, nature-based therapy, school-based services, assistive technology, or another specialty.
This small, supportive team has a big vision: to make therapy feel meaningful, fun, and life-changing for the children, young adults, and families they serve. They work holistically, valuing the whole child and their unique journey. Their purpose-built clinic just outside of Atherton is a warm and welcoming space, featuring:
A sensory gym
Various therapy rooms
A nature play area
A messy/art therapy space
A garden therapy area
A sandplay & symbol work room
They also work beyond the clinic, bringing therapy into schools, homes, workplaces, and other community spaces across the Atherton Tablelands.
What Makes This Role Special?
Follow Your Interests - They love when therapists bring their unique skills and interests to shape their role. Want to explore nature-based therapy? Passionate about working with teens? Interested in a certain intervention model? Let’s make it happen!
Flexible & Supportive Environment - They prioritise work-life balance and tailor your workload to support both your professional growth and personal well-being.
Collaboration & Connection - Regular team gatherings, case discussions, and professional development ensure you never feel like you’re working alone.
Growth & Learning - Whether you’re a new graduate or an experienced OT, this practice provides ongoing mentoring, supervision, and professional development tailored to you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Assess and provide hands-on therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of needs.
Design individualised, family-centered, and holistic therapy plans.
Work both in the clinic and out in the community (schools, daycares, workplaces, homes).
Build strong relationships with families, teachers, and health professionals.
Manage your own caseload with support from our experienced team.
Contribute to team projects, programs, and innovative service delivery
About You:
Qualified Occupational Therapist with AHPRA registration.
Current Driver’s Licence (as some travel within the community is involved).
New grads welcome! If you’re passionate about paediatrics, we’ll support your growth.
If experienced, bring your passion! We love therapists with special interests and are happy to help you build your dream caseload.
Strong problem-solving skills and a heart for helping others.
A commitment to providing warm, high-quality, family-centred care.
