Exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist
Practice Information:
We are currently on the lookout for an Occupational Therapist to join our Townsville team. Your role will be responsible for the provision of high-quality occupational therapy assessment and interventions to work across both paediatric and adult caseloads.
You will have the opportunity to work in varied work environments such as our and spacious clinic in Townsville, and communities within a short drive from travel from Townsville. You will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals in a multidisciplinary team both locally and through virtual teams in other locations while providing mentoring and support services to those teams.

Position Description:
The key responsibility for the role will be to:
Provide high quality occupational therapy assessments and intervention to NDIS participants.
Demonstrate a flexible approach to the resolution of complex situations that may involve negotiation with multiple service providers.
Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and ability to complete work with minimal direction.
Evaluating patients' functional status in their home, work/school and leisure environments
Establish treatment goals
Implement the plan of care through direct treatment
Coordinate treatment with other healthcare professionals as required
Record, maintain and provide accurate, timely documentation of patient treatment and progress
Maintain professional relationships with clients in adherence to legislative requirements and guidelines.
Your typical work conditions would be:
2 - 3 days per week working in regional clinics (within a short drive from travel with company vehicle) to Ingham, Ayr, Bowen, Burdekin
Once a fortnight you would have an overnight stay in Bowen
Remainder of the days would be working at Private Practice clinic in Townsville

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
A minimum of 3 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist is desirable, but not necessary;
Paediatric experience is highly desirable;
Experience working with NDIS clients;
Current AHPRA registration (with no restrictions);
Demonstrated experience working with a diverse range of clients;
The ability to work independently, but also as part of a multidisciplinary team;
Current Drivers Licence.
