Clifton Community Health Services (CCHS) is a vibrant, standalone, community-based, not-for-profit, charitable, health services co-operative that operates Clifton Co-operative Private Hospital; Clifton Medical Practice; Clifton Nursing Home; Sunflower Lodge (Memory Support Unit); Nirvana Hostel; Vedette Villas; and Clifton Home and Community Care.
Pivotal to our operations, we employ a team of skilled General Practitioners who play a key role not only within our organisation but within our local community, and are passionate about providing high quality, person-centered care to our patients and residents.
Set amongst rich agricultural land in the relaxed country town of Clifton, just thirty minutes from both Toowoomba and Warwick, our GPs also enjoy considerable work/life balance opportunities including have access to sociable and flexible work hours and can work on either a full-time or part-time basis in our busy, mixed-billing practice.
GPs have the option to work remotely using our state-of-the-art video health technology or onsite at our modern, purpose-built facility featuring the latest technology, diagnostic equipment, mobile device access, spacious and well-lit consulting rooms for GPs and Allied Health professionals and a dedicated, well-equipped treatment room.
Our GPs have access to great potential earnings up to 70% of receipts. They also have access to sign on bonuses, and for those relocating to Clifton there are also relocation expenses, access to Workforce Incentive Payments of between $12,000 and $23,000 per annum and subsidised short-term onsite and long-term offsite accommodation (dependent on availability).
Given the breadth of our services, and the region’s broad demographic, our GPs manage a variety of complex health issues, affording challenging and rewarding work. With a focus on Chronic Disease Management and Closing the Gap in Indigenous health our Medical Practice is an accredited Rural Training Clinic providing professional supervision to Registrars, Interns and Students.
Being a values-based, for purpose organisation, members of our team enjoy a strong team spirit and are driven to improve the quality of life for all our stakeholders. As such, neither our people nor our patients/residents are ever treated as ‘just a number’. Whilst we must of course ensure the viability of our business, we are not commercially driven. Practitioners are supported by highly experienced Practice Nurses and trained administration staff, ensuring accurate appointment scheduling, invoicing, and debt collection and, ultimately, best use of each GPs time.
