Darling Downs and West Moreton Connections and Celebrations

​We’ve had a fantastic few months connecting with health professionals and communities across the Darling Downs and West Moreton region. From sharing insights to networking at events, it’s been a great chance to catch up with friends and colleagues in person.

In early September, we were invited to present at the Darling Downs West Moreton PHN, Allied Health Networking Event in Toowoomba. Sandra Bukumirovic, our Health Workforce Solutions Team Leader, expressed, "It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with allied health professionals, students, the PHN team, and other stakeholders, and to present the range of opportunities available to support the allied health workforce." The event brought together professionals from various disciplines, fostering learning and collaboration.

Next, the team headed to Goondiwindi for the Gundy Medical Muster, where our Regional Coordinator, Marijana Duljaj, finally met in person some of the people she’s been working with over the past few months. Marijana described the conference as an excellent opportunity to engage with stakeholders and support the local community.

In October, we joined the celebrations for Goondir Health Services' 30th Anniversary in Oakey. Sandra and Marijana attended the community day and gala dinner, while our CEO, Chris Mitchell, had the honour of serving as MC. We are proud to support Goondir and the vital services they provide to their communities.
