Job Title:  Practice Nurse - Bowen

Practice Information:
The practice is a mixed billing clinic. It is a well-established clinic servicing the Bowen community for over 40 years. They provide all general practice services including skin cancer checks, procedures, iron infusions, ECG, spiro. Pathology is on site, radiology across the road and it is 5 minutes’ drive to the Bowen Hospital.

Position Description:
The practice is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join their team. The successful applicant will possess:

• Excellent communication skills

• An outgoing and friendly demeanour

• High attention to detail

• The ability to prioritise and organise

• Current AHPRA registration

This role encompasses all areas in General Practice nursing including ECG, Spirometry, wound care, assisting with procedures, immunisations and chronic disease management. This role offers the opportunity to work within a welcoming and friendly team with a patient centered approach. We are currently seeking a nurse for approximately 3 days per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current APHRA registration

• General Practice experience preferred but not necessary

• Current CPR certificate      

Job Type:  Permanent – Part time

Salary Information: $35-$45 Hourly Rate

Bowen is a coastal town located in the Whitsunday region. It is located halfway between Mackay and Townsville. The Bowen population is approximately 12,000 people.
