Job Title: Registered Nurse in General Practice - Mackay, Queensland.
Job Type: Permanent – Full-Time.
Practice Information:
This is a well-established, family-oriented General Practice located in the Mackay city heart. They are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, & patient-focused Registered Nurse to join their family.
The practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare to its patients through a collaborative, team-based approach. They emphasise preventative care & focus on patient-centered initiatives to enhance overall wellness. A work-life balance is supported for their entire team, creating a welcoming & supportive workplace. The practice has extended its services & is looking for additional Registered Nurses to join their General Practice team in the heart of Mackay.
The practice is located within the city centre of Mackay which is part of the Mackay Hospital & Health Service (MHHS) & the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) region. The location is classified as a RA 2 & supports with a variety of hospital & health services. Emergency services are conveniently located minutes away from the Practice.

Ability to follow procedures but be confident in decision making skills & working autonomously.

Able to demonstrate adaptability to different personalities & capabilities.
Flexible to assist with leave coverage & roster changes.
General practice experience is desirable, specifically with chronic disease management & basic procedures.
Furthermore, you must be professional, efficient, hardworking & can create a good rapport with the patients & team. This practice is seeking someone with a positive attitude, passion, committed to the role & willing to work collaboratively with the team of nurses.
Position Description:
A typical day in general practice would include administering vaccines, wound care, triage, assisting with minor procedures, stock control, health assessments, managing patients with chronic health conditions, data quality & administration duties.
Skills & Experience:
Current AHPRA registration: RN qualified
Knowledge of chronic disease management is essential
Capacity to multitask, prioritise and good time management
Must be pro-active with a can-do positive attitude
Professional presentation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Prior General Practice nursing experience is advantageous
Computer literate

Salary Information:
$35 - $42 per hour.
